Waterfront Technology Center
Earns LEED-CS Designation
 The
EDA’s Waterfront Technology Center at Camden has become the first
public project in the state to be certified under the Leadership in Energy
and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System.

Technology Center Updates
As part of its technology initiative, the EDA offers real estate opportunities
to growing technology companies through the development of technology centers
throughout the State, including the recently completed Waterfront Technology
Center at Camden, the Digital Century facility building in Newark which
is under design, and the EDA’s flagship facility -- the Technology
Centre of New Jersey -- located in North Brunswick.

Innovation Zone Overview
The EDA offers support for the growth of technology and life sciences businesses
through Innovation Zones – a collaborative state effort involving
the EDA, the New Jersey Commission on Science and Technology, the Commerce,
Economic Growth and Tourism Commission and other state agencies. These
zones, established in Newark, Camden and the Greater New Brunswick area,
are technology neighborhoods designed to spur collaboration among public
universities, research institutions and related businesses and encourage
the rapid transfer of discoveries from the laboratory to the marketplace.

Knowtions Investors are First to Get EDA Angel
Guarantees
The first angel investment guarantees under the New Jersey Economic
Development Authority’s (EDA’s) technology initiative have
been approved for investors in Knowtions, Inc., a workforce productivity
software provider based in Paramus.

More Than 40% of NJ Technology Fast 50 Have Used
EDA Resources
Twenty-one of the 50 technology businesses named to the 12th annual New
Jersey Technology Fast 50 List have been assisted by New Jersey Economic
Development Authority (EDA) resources to support their strong growth and
operational advancement. Cumulatively, these companies have closed or been
approved for more than $44 million in EDA financing and business and tax
incentives.
